I walk the mountains.
I don’t climb them.
To be able to walk the mountains,
you need long legs.
Legs long enough to stride over the peaks.
One peak after another.
To reach the peak once is never enough.
Each peak is apex,
but each apex is not my peak.
I walk the mountains.
Like I’m walking over rocks.
Spread all across the path.
But the path is invisible.
Only visible with a step.
And disappears afterward.
You can’t follow me.
Neither can I follow you.
I walk the mountains.
Like I'm walking to my funeral.
To meet my eternal sleep.
Or glory; whichever it is.
It is my nature,
to follow nature.
I am lost to the known.
Found to the wanderer.
I walk the mountains.
Like I never walked before.
