A Path to Salvation

The road is closed.
 I tried to knock,
the door is locked.
 I sneaked through the window,
 the view is blocked.
I moved behind the house,
 the stairs are clogged.
I have few minutes left.
The sun has set.

The clock has stopped.
I was not forgiven-
 for all the memories forgotten.
The nightmare ends;
I see a house on the horizon.

আমার খোঁজ আমায় খুঁজে পাবে—  তারাদের মাঝে। রজনীগন্ধ্যায়— শরতের সাঁঝে। আমায় খুঁজে পাবে—  খো লা জানালায়। সাগরপারে— দখিনা হাওয়ায়। আমায় খুঁজে পাবে—  ক ল্লোল কলরবে। ধ্বংস্তুপে— নিষ্পেষিত ভৈরবে। আমায় খুঁজে পাবে— স্রষ্টার  হাতে। মৃত্তিকায়— সৃষ্টির সাথে। আমায় খুঁজে পাবে—  সময়ের শেষে। পুণর্মিলনে— স্মৃতির বেশে। আমায় খুঁজে পাবে—  এক বাক্যে। সর্বত্র— পঠিত কাব্যে। কোথায় পাবে না আমায়— খুঁজতে যদি যাও? চোখ মেলে চাও, যদি চোখ মেলতে চাও। - Mr. Ahmed 26.05.25

কুষ্টিয়া, গাঁজা ও মহাজন

কুষ্টিয়া কেন গাঁজার জন্য বিখ্যাত সেটা যতটুকু না বোধগম্য তার চেয়ে বেশি দৃশ্যমান হলো বিখ্যাত কিছু লোকজন (সাধু-সন্ন্যাসী, কবি) কেন এখান থেকে বের হয়েছিল। কুষ্টিয়ায়  মারাত্মক শীত পরে এর কোনো সন্দেহ নাই। এবার নিজেকে এক শতক আগে কুষ্টিয়ার একজন বাসিন্দা হিসেবে কল্পনা করুন। হার-কাঁপানো এই ঠান্ডায় আপনার নিজের দেহ ও মন গরম রাখার উত্তম এবং অতি প্রাকৃতিক উপায় হলো গঞ্জিকা সেবন, যা এখানে প্রতুল। এখন, গাঁজা হলো এক বিশেষ পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া সম্পন্ন অতি উপাদেয় অখাদ্য। এর শারীরিক উপকার-অপকার আমার আলোচ্য নয়; কেননা এ বিষয়ে যারা জানে না, তারা জানার ভান করে আর যে জানে, সে না জানার ভান করে। তাই আসি মানসিক অঞ্চলে। গাঁজার মানসিক যেই পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া থাকে সেটি সৃজনশীলভাবে বিধ্বংসী। মানে এটি আপনাকে নতুন নতুনভাবে নিজেকে বিলিয়ে দেওয়ার উপায় বাতলে দিবে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ আমি লালন শাহকেই টেনে আনি( যদিও লোকটি মৃত, তার মুরিদরা এখন জীবিতদের থেকে তাকে বেশি সমীহ করে)। কনকনে শীতে শরীর গরম রাখতে গিয়ে উনি না হয় নিছক দুই এক দফা গাঁজা খেয়ে নিলেন। শরীর গরম হলো, বেশ, পয়সা উসুল। কিন্তু এর পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া উসুল হয় যখন উন...
